What is a deductible?

A deductible is an amount that you're responsible for in the event of a loss. This is the amount you pay out-of-pocket, and insurance covers the remainder, less any co-payments.

Is there an annual Open Enrollment period for Medicare Supplements?

This varies by STATE, but in general, the answer is no . The Annual Open Enrollment Period (AEP) is for Medicare Advantage Plans (MA/MAPD) with or without drug coverage, and stand alone Medicare Prescription Drug plans (PDPs). Clients can generally apply for a Medicare Supplement policy at any time. There are certain circumstances which determine whether or not underwriting is required. Again, this varies by STATE and it is best to bring this question to your agent. See Medicare videos below for more information.
